Good to know before you go
The Centennial Light
A short public turnout sits in front of the station on East Avenue. Leave the apron and the bay doors completely clear and walk in rather than idling out front.
Livermore Sanitarium
If the history grabs you, the museum in the old Carnegie library a few minutes ahead is where the photographs of it live.
The Bank of Italy Building
Angled street parking runs the length of First Street, with free public lots a block back on either side. Weekend evenings fill up fast.
Livermore Carnegie Library and Park
Street parking around the park, plus the downtown lots a block or two away. On market mornings the nearest spaces go early.
Rancho Las Positas
Watch the oaks as the houses thin out. Those valley oaks are the survivors of the grazing land the grant was actually for.
Ravenswood Historic Site
A gravel lot sits inside the gate. If an event is running, the lot belongs to the event and the site is closed to drop-in visitors.
Sycamore Grove Park
A lot at the entrance charges a $5 daily parking fee, and free street parking outside the gate if you would rather walk in.
Livermore Valley AVA
Every winery along here has its own lot; there is nowhere safe to stop on the road itself between them.
Cresta Blanca Winery
A large lot sits at the estate at the end of Arroyo Road, shared with the restaurant and the events lawn.
Concannon Vineyard
A wide gravel and paved lot sits just inside the gate, with overflow on the lawn for events.
Wente Vineyards
A dedicated estate lot serves the property at the tasting room, separate from the vineyard access roads. Do not park on the verge — those are working lanes.
Arroyo Mocho
There are a handful of gravel turnouts along the canyon and no formal parking. Pull fully off the asphalt or do not pull off at all.
Del Valle Regional Park
Paid lots serve each beach and the boat ramp. On hot weekends the park can reach capacity and close the gate to new arrivals before lunchtime.
Lake Del Valle
Lots serve the east and west beaches and the boat ramp; the east side is the larger and usually the busier of the two.
